Hello steemians,

Mont-Tremblant, located 128 kilometres from Montreal, is a destination that harmoniously combines the splendour of nature, the appeal of adventure and the pleasure of discovery. The drive, although slightly long, proved to be a pleasant prelude to the experience that awaited us, thanks to its green landscapes, winding roads lined with lush forests and a peaceful atmosphere that offered a real change of scenery compared to the hustle and bustle of the city, upon arriving, we were immediately struck by the beauty and charm of Place des Voyageurs, where the warm and picturesque architecture of the colourful buildings blended perfectly with the energy of the many visitors who strolled the cobblestone streets, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Initially, we had considered going up to the pedestrian village by cabriolet, but seeing the considerable length of the queue, we finally decided to opt for a walk up along the Rue des Remparts path. This decision, although involving a physical effort, turned out to be a real blessing, as it allowed us to discover in a more intimate and authentic way the charms of the surrounding landscape, the walk was punctuated by breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, where each turn revealed a new captivating detail, whether it was the majestic trees, the wild flowers or the sunlight filtering through the foliage, this moment offered a unique opportunity to slow down the pace, breathe the pure mountain air and fully appreciate the environment around us.

When we reached the pedestrian village, we were immediately seduced by its liveliness and special charm, the streets lined with unique boutiques, welcoming restaurants and quaint cafes were filled with a festive and warm atmosphere, where every corner seemed to tell a story, after exploring this enchanting setting, we made the decision to continue our adventure by ascending to the top of the Laurentians by cable car, an experience which promised to offer incomparable panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Tickets to access this activity were offered at 44 dollars for adults and 26 dollars for children, prices that we considered totally justified due to the exceptional experience that awaited us, from the departure of the cable car, we were immersed in a fascinating visual universe where the density of the vegetation and the immensity of the distant peaks combined to form a grandiose natural scene extending to infinity, this slow and silent journey through the air, where each movement gradually brought us closer to the heights, offering a real meditative break, allowing the mind to escape and immerse itself in the raw beauty of the surrounding nature.

After reaching the summit, which rises to an impressive altitude of 875 meters, we decided to begin our exploration with a well-deserved break in a restaurant judiciously positioned to offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes, this moment of relaxation, which proved to be both indulgent and soothing, was enhanced by the exceptional setting where the mountains covered in lush vegetation seemed to extend as far as the eye could see, creating a striking contrast with the dazzling blue of the clear sky, each bite of this meal carefully prepared, associated with the tranquility of the place and the majesty of the panoramas which presented themselves to our eyes, reinforced the impression of a perfect harmony between nature and comfort, this moment of respite, which allowed us to regain our strength and to fully immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of the place, stood out as an ideal introduction following our discovery of the wonders which still awaited us at the summit.

Afterwards, we visited different points of interest, including the famous Lookout Tower, an observation tower which allowed us to enjoy a view even more more spectacular view of the mountains, valleys and forests that stretched as far as the eye could see, the clarity of the sky, combined with the lush greenery, made every moment spent contemplating this panorama memorable, and we took many photos to immortalize these moments.

As we headed back down towards the pedestrian village, a sudden downpour fell on the area, adding an unexpected but refreshing touch to our day, the rain, far from spoiling the experience, brought an even more lively and dynamic atmosphere, with visitors seeking shelter under the awnings of the shops or continuing their activities with an enthusiastic smile despite the drops, it was a beautiful lesson in the unpredictability of nature, which makes every moment of such a journey unique and precious.

Before leaving Mont-Tremblant, my son Yahya concluded this adventure by enjoying a cone of chocolate ice cream, a simple pleasure but which perfectly summed up the joy and lightness of this busy day, the smile on his face while tasting this ice cream was a touching reminder of the importance of small moments of happiness in creating lasting memories, this day spent in Mont-Tremblant will remain engraved in our memories as an adventure combining wonder, exploration and family moments, an experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to reconnect with nature while enjoying the simple but meaningful pleasures of life.
