Steemit Accounts Just Became More Valuable !!
I took a peek at my wallet, which I do daily and below I saw that my account value has increased significantly.
What is the reason for this????
My steem power/steem dollars are unchanged.
I can only assume that the founders have assessed the platform to be more valuable.
Can anyone confirm? Anyone like to speculate on the causes? Does it have to do with the hack?
Regardless the reason this is a sign of good things to come on this platform....

Most of the new account holders, myself included and those that signed up 7-9, 7-10 7-11'ers have only touched the surface of this amazing platform. If you haven't done so take a read at this guide from @donkeypong
I would never ask anyone on here to send money to an individual, company or a cause but spending a dollar on a valuable guide that will only enrich yourself and thus the platform is well deserving.
Sorry for the digression but Steem just got more valuable.

Your Steem power increases(in a compound interest way), which increases your value.
Correct but the steem power was unchanged and the estimated value nearly doubled. I speculate that the calculation of steem power has become more valuable.
Your estimated values is calculated by 7 days median (average) price of steem on market. I think 2 days ago it peaked at 4 $ so you may see it rising for few mor days then calming down, or maybe only the sky is limit.
