Black Lives Matter completely missing the mark

in #statism8 years ago (edited)

As the world continually spirals into further conflict at the hands of globalist agendas, libertarians and anarchists see what's happening, and probably find themselves somewhere between a constant face palm, pulling our hair out, and actually not being surprised. The last ditch efforts by central banks and governments to prop up this crumbling financial system, the warfare state, the militarization of government police, the boiling point of racial and social tensions.

Lately we've been seeing the black lives matter movement versus the police colliding on an almost weekly basis. Of course, for us, we've been criticizing the police state for quite a while now. We recognize the immorality of government monopolized policing, the insane myriad of laws that allow the police to intrude in our personal lives, search and detain us when we've committed no crime, and bring the state revenue.

It seems to me though, BLM has completely and consistently missed the mark on these things and the true reason for the constant arrests and killings of blacks and the cultural degeneracy that poor urban black communities are entrenched in.

For sure, underlying racism could be part of the reasoning for some of these issues, but honestly, if you look objectively at these situations, the state initiation of force and government policies are the true cause. You can turn on your TV and see protesters in crumbling inner-city neighborhoods screaming about attacking white people, blaming whites and rich people as the scourge of their problems. When will they realize the state, the very state they look to for more help, is the source of their misery?

Few if any black lives matter advocates discuss the war on drugs, unreasonable search and seizure, and state delegated right of police to use deadly force against persons who have not committed a legitimate crime. Instead it's "racism", "the power in the wrong hands"... The POWER is the problem! Does it only matter that cops kill black people? Or that the state has a monopoly on the initiation of force and the power to kill and imprison ANYONE for whatever they see fit? Not to mention the statist hypocrisy of BLM supporters who believe THEY have the right to attack individuals and their property who may not necessarily agree with them.

The second part of this problem is the grim slum life and cultural degeneracy that has plagued the black community since the welfare state truly took hold. If you look back in American history, even from the days of slavery up until the 1950s-early 60s, the black family was a strong unit. Up until the huge expansion of welfare policies in the late 60s and 70s, the black family was on its way to prosperity. Ever since the welfare state gripped the inner city black populations with promises of security and escape from poverty, the exact opposite has happened. We see no family unit. We see an incentive to stay on welfare because getting a low-paying job initially would result in less money. We see government housing. We see crumbling government schools. Children growing up in an environment of violence and hopelessness. We see no father figures. We see children who try to educate themselves ridiculed as a white mans pet. We see the same children turn to selling drugs, and then being arrested and incarcerated, and ultimately institutionalized because of the pointless war on drugs. We see no job opportunities because entrepreneurs have no incentive to do business in dangerous areas where commerce would fail, not to mention the costs of hiring low skill employees at ever rising minimum wages. We see all of this developed into hopeless degeneracy and young black men embracing violence and blaming the wrong people. We see all this, yet we see the black community in these areas continually supporting government and especially Democrats, who keep you chained and bound to the government through empty promises. Chained to the very bureaucrats who imprison you. You've been duped.

BLM, I think it's time to realize your true enemy - the state. Stop focusing on the symptoms, and start identifying the cause. The insane laws that allow you to be so easily stopped and harassed and the policies you've embraced. The state is your enemy, and understanding the non aggression principle could save your children. Asking for a different kind of government only shifts violence around to different areas.

Well said. I've been seeing this too. I know why BLM started, and what it's goals are, and there are a lot of good people with good intentions in it. Yet there are a lot of bad elements in it. Shouting "Black power" is no less racist than me shouting "White power".

I prefer ALL LIVES MATTER but they think that is me simply trying to diffuse their message. I see it as trying to broaden it to include everyone, not just black people.

Definitely agree. Like most of these government induced problems, the reaction becomes a chaos fueled mob mentality!

Great stuff CW. It's great that you mentioned how strong the black family unit and how similarly strong the black organizations were prior to LBJ's "war on property." Hopefully we return to the days of mutual benefit organizations and friendly societies again. it would be a welcome sight to see that the only cost the individual would have to bear would be the monthly memberships.
