The Last Jedi: Review

The Last Jedi had a few epic scenes in the end of the movie. The background was excellent and some of the fight scenes were really well done. Good news is that there will be another movie. That's pretty obvious though. However, everything else about the movie was just horrible.

Before you get all angry about my opinions remember that's what they are. Opinions. Please shed some light however, and make this movie not seem so bad to me. The more I think about it the worse it is.

Joke Wars

The original Star Wars had some very humorous scenes. One of my favourite was when Princess Leia told Han Solo that she loved him, and he replied with "I know." Just before he was heading to his potential death.

The jokes in The Last Jedi were just horrible, and way to many. Literally every 10 minutes there had to be a joke thrown in whether it was good or bad. It was like they wrote the script then added any joke where ever they could. It felt forced and looked forced from the actors. There were some good ones, but by the quarter mark I was just done with all of them.

May the sexism against men be strong with this one.

Sure I can understand how women are put down in the majority of films. I applaud movies the give power to women. Episode 7 did a great job having a female. However, this movie was just way over the top of belittling men.

1) Only women were allowed to sacrifice their lives for the greater good. If men tried they were stopped, or frowned upon. Basically men were just trigger happy.

2) All of the men's plans failed. All of the women's plans succeeded unless she trusted a guy.

3) Women leaders were always calm and collective while the guys acted like 7 year olds.

Too many unanswered questions 

I would go in detail, however I don't wish to spoil the movie for you. You can simply look online and figure it out easily.

I have to give this one 3/10. It is by far my least favourite Star Wars movie. Yes I would rather watch Jar Jar Binks in episode 1 again then to have to watch this one again.
