Stalagmit
Atmospheric precipitation water falling on a meadow with vegetation on a limestone mass is enriched by the CO 1 gas it provides therein and is incorporated into the limestone crack as an acid-carbonated water.
Source
The water that passes into the limestone massive forms a soluble, bi-carbonate, operating from left to right, as shown in the above chemical reaction.
When this solution reaches the cave ceiling, it reaches an atmosphere of different characteristics. The less CO 2 gas in the cavern air provides the missing CO 2 gas through the bi-carbonate solution and the equation is broken.
Source
This time the reaction from right to left operates, and as a result some Ca CO 2 is exposed to precipitation. In this way, stalagmites (Stalagmite) and stalagmites rising from the cave floor are formed.
