Matthew 13:20. The rocky soil represents those who hear the message and receive it with joy.
21 . But like young plants in such soil, their roots don't go very deep. At first they get along fine, but they wilt as soon as they have problems or are persecuted because they believe the word.

Any life that is not deeply rooted in Christ is prone to wilting. It is normal to start up your Christian journey as a spiritual babe, but it is hazardous to remain a babe. All the perennial crops I know are only planted during the rainy season so that their roots would have gone down enough to seek little comfort underneath during the dry season. Any of such crops without the required root growth will certainly dry up when the dry season comes. Let me compare the rainy season of our lives to a time we have the privilege to seek God wholly and know more about Him.

Our rainy season are the times we have all it takes to commune with God, learn from Him, communicate with Him, know His ways and acts; thereby having our roots established in Him. Dry season on the order hand could be likened to the hard moments of our lives; when peace riches and happiness seem to be our enemies. At the dry season of a man's life, prayer may look like a mountain, studying God's Word may look impossible, singing praises unto God may even become hard. Men who will survive through the dry season are men whose root had gone down deep enough in Christ to overcome the dryness of life.

Now that you are sound and privilege to seek God, how much of Him do you know? Several believers are getting dried and wilting spiritually on daily basis because their roots are not beyond the surface of Christianity.
With this your root now, do you think you will still be standing when the storm of life arise?
Do you have root deep enough to tap water and nutrients in Christ when your own dry season comes?
Everyone certainly faces the dry season at one point or the other, but not everyone get dried during the dry season. Let all your life and energy be focused on knowing the Lord now that you are able. Begin to take your prayer alter more serious than ever, spend time studying God's Word and never leave the secrete place until you are divinely impacted. Grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18.
