MY VERY FIRST VALENTINE

Tony was a guy every girl wanted. I did too but secretly. He was dark, tall and well sculpted.But I was just too shy, I mean I'm not one of those girls who would walk up to a guy and tell him how much I liked him. At this point, I really admired girls who were bold enough to do so.
You could imagine my surprise and the joy I felt inside when he asked me to be his val. I accepted without hesitation.
On Valentine's day, we went to see a movie and then we had a romantic dinner and I received my very first Valentine's gift. It was a bracelet. I had the best time of my life that night or so I thought as I later found out he only asked me out because his girlfriend was out of town, she had to travel last minute and he didn't want his plans to go to waste.
I was devastated,I didn't know whether to confront him or not but I later decided not to. Of what use would it be? I vowed never to let myself fall prey to such again. It was his loss.
