HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE establish a foundation of convictions and conscience and make a commitment to abstinence is very important. But there is another step we must take in encouraging our kids to say no to premarital sex. We must help them set standards for how they will interact with the opposite sex in dating relationship. This is the nuts and bolts stage of living out their convictions for, and commitment to moral purity. According to dictionary definition, Dating is a form of romantic courtship typically between two individuals with the aim of assessing the other suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as spouse. The result of dating may at any time lead to friendship, any level of intimate relationship, marriage, or no relationship.

HOW TO HELP KIDS DETERMINE STANDARDS FOR DATING

1. SEX EDUCATION:

Sex education is a very important kind of education that is neglected from several homes. I took time to ask few individuals of what their parent taught them about sex, but to my surprise, the response I got from most of them where, my parent never told me anything about sex, what I know now, I know from my pair group, to help kids determine quality standards for dating, SEX EDUCATION is inevitable, educate them about the consequences that occur when he/she come in contact with an infected person. Trying to hide this truth from these kids is telling them to go out and find the answers by themselves. Note that: when they fall into the wrong hands, they will not only be taught but they will show them how to do it. Please tell them the dangers and possibly the reasons why they should abstain from premarital sex

I know that many people will not agree with me on this point, but it’s the truth, if you want to have a standard relationship, this is a point to put into consideration, there is a popular saying that says #LOVE-IS-BLIND, but let me say that #LOVE-IS-NEVER-BLIND, but #GIFTS-AND-MONEY-IN-LOVE-BLINDS-THE-EYES, the truth remains that when you demand from your spouse, you will also be demanded of something else.

It will go a long way if you help a kid to set a quality standards in life.
