The mind of a serial killer 💀

We all have demons. Some of us have them have them buried deep down, some have them too close to the surface and some have them all comfy you know wasting off on the couch legs on the table, like they're living in them and an example of those people are serial killers. Some people see killing as a tragedy, some a sin, some a means of income and some just see it as an art. Serial killers would most likely see themselves as artist and the human body they're canvas. Well my mind is diverse some would say it's just straight up dark, well I wouldn't blame you, my topic says it all. Well anyways I've always wanted to know what makes them tick you know. Why serial killers are serial killers and I have my theories but before we get into that let's acknowledge some revolutionaries in this field. So let's go 😁🙃

1. The zodiac killer
   Okay this dude is like the LeBron James of serial killing. I mean he's been evading the police for a good 50 years now. He basically got his name from the taunting letters he sent to the Bay Area press.He left ciphers to be decoded and out of the four he sent, only one was definitely solved. The killer operated in California in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His last letter said: Me- 37 and SFPD (San Francisco Police Dept.)- 0. He claimed to have killed 37 victims but the newspapers confirmed only 7. The case file is still open.
   2.Donald Henry Gaskins: The Hitchhikers' Killer
   Now this guy I brought in cause he's not only at the top but also he's easier to relate to cause of things we see in the movies and the moral of the story is always never take a ride from a creepy looking stranger when hitchhiking. Gaskins has claimed to have killed between 80 to 90 people by torturing and mutilating them. He started killing in 1969, picking up hitchhikers on the coastal highways of the American South. He was sentenced to death which was later turned to life imprisonment without any parole. I mean this guy broke a record. He became the first and only man to have ever killed and inmate on death row 💀💀
   
   3.Tsutomu Miyazaki: The Human Dracula
   Human Dracula. What comes to your mind first? Blood? Yes it's what your thinking 😭. This creep on one occasion drank the blood of his victim and fed on her hand as well. He also preserved body parts as trophies and sent postcards to the families describing the murder. His father committed suicide and Miyazaki was hanged in 2008, aged 45.
   
   4.Jack the Ripper aka Whitechapel Murder
   Well in this case no one really knows who the real killer or killers are. The name was born because the victim had organs missing and judging from the looks of the procedure the killer seemed to have had surgical experience. Now it's believed it was a single person who killed people in the slums of London from 1888-91.
   
   5.Aileen Wuornos: The Monster
   You know this list was lacking girl power so I just had to bring her in. You know Charlize Theron scopped up an academy award for her role in the movie monster and this movie was based on Aileen which I found out later though and I loved the movie 😭.While working as a prostitute, Aileen killed seven men in Florida for their money and confessed to shooting them, claiming all of them had either raped or attempted to rape her. She died in 1992 by lethal injection.
   
   Well that's the last I'll share with y'all I'm sure you want to see more or your probably freaked out 😂.
   So this brings us to what I initially started talking about what makes them tick? Well if you ask me from my own point of view it's purely Psychological. It's all in their head, that's the origin. What motivates them to me are things like fear of rejection, insecurities, power and perfection. I personally know how it feels to be rejected but you won't see me putting on a hockey mask and cutting people into pieces (Friday the 13th for those who can't relate). Rejection hurts but some people don't know how to handle these emotions and they allow the demons to lead them. Another deadly motivation is power. They want to play God and nothing says God more than being able to decide life or death. This power is addictive, stains the soul and corrupts the mind. Perfection is another case.Some killers seek to “improve” something. They often see a category of people, such as women or prostitutes, as “unclean”, and see their removal of those beings as improving the world. Or, they think that killing the victim, usually in some sort of a ritualistic manner, redeems the victim their wrongdoings. They see themselves as special and probably see their victims as chosen. This explains why some go bunkers when they notice the ingratitude from the victims which is not a surprise. Insecurities is up there too. We all have them. We all know how bad they could make us feel and worst of all rejection because of our insecurities. He will try to avoid developing a painful relationship with his object of desire and is terrified of being abandoned, humiliated, or exposed. Many killers often have sex – the ultimate form of intimacy – with their victims, and often with the corpse. That way, the possibility of rejection is null. Sometimes I don't think humans are capable of such levels of evil. So when people go in front of a judge and build their case based on insanity I want to believe them because I want to believe in the human race but the truth is we seem to be unreedemable. We have racism, xenophobia, genocide,misogyny....the list goes on. So I believe we need to love each other because you don't know maybe you could save 10 or 100 people by showing love to someone who could easily pick up a knife or gun and go on a killing spree. We need LOVE.
