Good time to buy Square? Ticker symbol SQ
Is now a good time to buy Square stock after announcing a pilot program to test bitcoin payments. Square is a payment processing system and is used by many small businesses. Lots of business owners use square because they can process with the built in chips on credit cards making it much safer than other machines. It is a very small device which makes it a very easy mobile payment system for small vendors such as flea market and food trucks. SQ is currently at 44.26 per share and is up 35.73% in the last month and 5.44% on the last trading day. I will buy a few shares and hold them waiting to see how the bitcoin pilot pans out. If square makes bitcoin a mainstream payment option, I believe that it can overtake pay pal in stock price. Pay pal is currently 76.64 and is up 29% in the last 3 months, however it is down 1.7% on the last trading day.
