I disagree with your post in both content and sentiment @felipejoys. Sure there is abuse on steemit and it sucks. Solving those issues is one of the great challenges that, if accomplished, would allow the platform to grow into something so much more.
But the solution of just "don't power up, get a delegate to upvote and downvote things", is absolutely INANE in my eyes.
Instead of giving people this advice, why not organize a coalition of people to make some noise on the issue? Organize (first your thoughts), and then find a way to speak up.
If your solution is to just not invest, then you might as well not play at all.
