Another week, another theme

@steemmonsters will have a contest with a different theme every week. This week's theme is Death. You can read this week's contest post here. This week we need to share a battle using the Death splinter.

Although Death isn't my favourite splinter, I still like playing it

Especially when these extra abilities are available. Yesterday, my new quests weren't available yet, I still had a few more hours before I could retrieve them. I noticed that I was close to Champion 3 with @lava-heron, so I decided to play a few battles,hoping I'd unlock Champion 3 before I start playing the quest yesterday. I decided to play death:

Low mana ugh!

Whenever I see a low mana game appear, I feel bummed. I hate it.. I never expect to win them either. As you can see I used thorns and poison to bring as much damage as I could using only 15 mana for my team. The golden chicken was just there to take a hit lol. Looking at the battle, I expected to lose this one for sure, I was lucky that the spineback wolf bounced of a hit at the end, otherwise I think I would have lost.

Strategy, who me?

Sorry @steemmonsters, I'm probably the worst person to ask strategy lol. I have my tricks that seem to work, but I'm one of these people you can't ask for a clear explanation what I did exactly, I play more on auto pilot or however you may call it. The only thing I can tell is, that I love using abilities like blast, thorns, poison and (tank) heal.. They make the battles so much more fun!

End of season and Untamed!

Just a few hours left before end of season, I just finished yesterday's quest from @lava-heron, while bouncing back and forward from diamond 1 to champion 3.. closer to 3600 than to 3700 now, so I just may sit there as I don't want to be stressed out the next few hours. I'm super super excited for untamed to come live, but only have a handful of packs to open (boohoo) I had to cancel my KS pledge due to real life bills. I just hope there's something useful in there when I open these, thankfully I have brilliant potions active (both alchemy and legendary), and hopefully I have as much luck opening Untamed as I had when orbs came out. I wouldn't mind finding the first gold foil legendary of the collection again :)
