The Badminton World Championship 2018 takes place in Nanjing, China, 30 July to 5 August. PBSI sends a total of 29 athletes to the event.

PBSI is targeting a title from the 2018 Badminton World Championships. The title is expected to come from the men's doubles number, reinforced by Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo / Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Berry Angriawan / Hardianto, and Wahyu Nayaka Arya P / Ade Yusuf Santoso .
