England wins Nigeria in their last international friendly before the world cup

The Nigerian super eagles was beaten by the three lions of England in an international freindly match played on saturday, 2nd of June at Wembly stadium.

The match started with the super eagle greasing the pitch with their lemon green jersey, which was very beautiful to look out. The super eagle started the match on a very low key, they barely had possession of the ball not to talk to make a goal attempt. The clearly lacked energy and mental strength. I will agree when pundits were saying that most of the super eagle players are unfit.

The English side opened the scoring in the 6th minutes of the game , when Gary cahill headed a corner straight into the back of the net. The defenders couldn't do much to keep the english guys checked in the 18 yard box especially on ariel battles. We could have conceded more than once from corner.

England doubled their lead with a powerful strike from harry kane in the 38th minute. It was easy for him to drive home the goal as the defender did little to keep me in check. The shoot was just too much for the goal keeper francis uzoho to handle. The super eagles struggle to find their Rythm throughout the first half.

The second half was entirely different, everyone is currently wishing that the super eagle will play exactly that way in the world cup. Fresh legs were brought into the match. The Nigerian side played with commendable vibrance. i guess the coach talked to them. Their good play was rewarded with a goal from the arsenal man Alex iwobi.

The goal was a consolation to Nigeria, at least the citizens have not totally lost hope in the super eagles at least with some necessary improvement we can do better. Who know Mikel Obi might just fufill his promise to President Buhari to bring the world cup home. A lot of people believe that he just said that mistakenly.
