Head coach of Spain has been sacked.

Julen Lopetegui, head coach of Spain was sacked just two days before Spain’s opening World Cup game against Portugal in Russia.

On Tuesday, Lopetegui agreed to take over as Real Madrid coach after the World Cup.

The president of Spanish football Federation’, Luis Rubiales said the negotiation was done behind their back and that left them with no other option than to terminate his appointment as coach of the national team.

The director of football, Fernando Hierro has been asked to replace the sacked coach.

This latest developments has caused a lot of crisis in the national team as no one had any idea about the sack of Lopetegui until it was announced publicly.
