Milan may lose out of fourth place.

A misplaced pass by Gianluigi Donnarumma was all it took for Sampdora to destroy Milan even in the first minute. Gregoire Defrel didn't waste the opportunity as offered to him on a gold plater. Veteran Fabio Quagliarrella also wanted his own goal in the 17th minute but was blocked by the goalkeeper.

Suso gave Milan the first chance in the 17th minute but it was blocked and saved. Sampdora didn't slow down even in the second half as Defrel’s shot in the 56th minute was a threat but didn't get in. Gattusso tried to make chances for Milan but couldn't get a goal.

When Milan tried to get an equalizer towards the end of the second half, it opened up space for Sampdora to capitalize on the opportunities. The match however ended by 1 goal win to nil by the home team (Sampdora). The chances of Milan making it to the top 4 is very slim at the moment.
