Indonesian contingents who will compete in the 2018 Asian Games are officially confirmed. Congratulations on competing, the best sons and daughters of the country.
Located at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (05/08/2018), an Indonesian Team Inauguration event was held and the signing of the CDM (Chief de Mission) Integrity Pact of the XVIII 2018 Asian Games.
The event was attended by 350 athletes, plus official. The number of athletes is only one third of a total of 937 athletes, because many are still abroad.
The event was opened by the Minister of Coordinating Human Rights and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Puan Maharani and continued by singing the song Indonesia Raya.
Next, the Integrity Pact was read by CdM Indonesia at 2018 Asian Games Syafruddin. He emphasized that the Indonesian contingent was ready to fight and make the Indonesian nation proud.
Then the Integrity Pact was signed between Minister Puan, CdM Syafruddin and Erick Thohir as Chair of INASGOC. The event was then read by the athlete's promise.
"Congratulations to the Indonesian team, the entire contingent of athletes, coaches and elected officials to represent the country at the 2018 Asian Games," said Puan.
"I hereby strengthen Indonesian athletes at the 2018 Asian Games," concluded Puan.
The 2018 Asian Games became Indonesia's second chance to hold the Asian Games. The first occurred in 1962.
At the 2018 Asian Games, 465 numbers from 40 sports will be staged. The number and number of sports branches increased compared to the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, four of which performed 39 numbers from 36 sports.
Among the new sports, five of them become Indonesian gold bars. Namely, pencak silat, bridge, paragliding, jetski, and rock climbing.
