Jorge Lorenzo had criticized Ducati for being slow to modify the motor components. Ducati Gigi Dall'Igna general manager responded calmly.

Lorenzo could finally tame the Desmosedici after undergoing a frustrating 2017 season. The Spanish rider grabbed two consecutive wins at Mugello and Catalunya.

The success was also influenced by the modification of Lorenzo's tank fuel tank. The pebalap himself had complained that Ducati took 18 months to fulfill his desire in order to maximize the ability of the motor.

"I know it will take time and a lot of things to show my ability. It's unfortunate, Ducati did not give me this component faster because I'm sure with that I can get more on the podium and maybe the first victory will arrive sooner," said Lorenzo after winning MotoGP Italy.

Coupled with the issue of the contract, on the process Lorenzo finally decided to leave Ducati. Starting 2019, Lorenzo will bertandem with Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda.

"Everyone should talk less, everyone, nothing more needs to be said, done," said Dall'Igna at Tuttomotoriweb. "A new chapter has been opened, we should look forward."
