Cryptocurrency ,and its associated blockchain technology, has offered users and investors many different forms of investment options. Diverse portfolios try to limit your losses by spreading your assets across multiple platforms.

One way in which an investor can diversify is through staking. Proof of Stake (POS) allows a user to validate block transactions based on how many coins he/she holds. POS Coins are purchased on an exchange and then transferred to that coins specific stakeable wallet. Hence the more coins you hold, the higher the chances are of being paid in the form of coins as a reward. Before staking can occur, these coins must come to a form of “maturity.” In other words, maturity is a waiting period before the coins can do there work. Maturation rates vary and this information can be found on the coin specific website.

With the numerous POS coins on the market, some require a small investment while others require a larger one. As stated above, the more coins you hold the higher your chances are of receiving a reward through block validation. Staking pools offer the ability to start out with a lower number of coins/smaller investment to receive a reward versus trying to solo-stake (Staking on your own). Pool staking is just that, your coins are pooled together with other users coins and the rewards are often paid out more frequently due to the pool having a higher weight in the network.

Simple POS Pool is one of a few staking pool sites I have personally used. This site is very credible and easy to work with compared to a few others out there. They have an active discord channel which allows users to: get a feel for the community, post questions on the specific coins they offer for staking, resolve issues that may occur with wallets, or simply allow one to research new coins…etc Besides just offering staking, POS Pool also offers masternode services if that’s your forte.

All in all I do recommend this site. Recently the site had undergone a maintenance session which lasted a few days. The Admins of the discord channel kept the community informed about the updates and progress about the planned maintenance. They pinned messages telling users to contact them if any bugs/issues had arose. The responsive of the team was top notch. Crypto often times seems to get a wrap for the massive scams whether its on exchanges or ICO’s. These guys are legit. As a satisfied user of their services, I felt it necessary to give credit where credit is due.
