If you can't beat them you buy their players

Juventus who recently added Matthijs De Ligt to their side have enjoyed winning the Serial A titles multiple times recently but the champions league title still remains a dream for the Italian side as they continue to chase it season in season out.
So I decided to look at their last two champions elimination:

April 2018: Cristiano Ronaldo was instrumental in real madrid eliminating Juventus out of the Champions League
Fast forward to July 2018 Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo

Again in April 2019, Matthijs De Ligt was phenomenal as Ajax cut off Juventus dream of winning the Champions League again.
This is July 2019 and Juventus has signed Matthijs De Ligt also.

However funny as it may sound this is a good analogy of if you can't beat them, sign them. I wish Juventus the best of luck in the champions league for 2019/2020 season.
