Sport and Water – The Undisputed Partnership
Hi all… it’s another great day and welcome to another exciting topic. Today I’ll be talking about the undisputed partnership of water and sports. We all know how important water is in our everyday lives and how it is one of the most essential elements. When it comes sports, the importance of water cannot be overemphasized, it is really is really that important to have the body hydrated when performing sporting activities. Exercise in general can cause the body to lose a good amount of water which can lead to fatigue. We all know that feeling when you are served a bottle of chilled water after exercise exhaustion… Priceless :D
Water is so abundant on earth that its importance most times not taken seriously. However, not for athletes as they know how valuable and essential water is when performing sporting activities. Study has shown that the some tissues in the body is made up of about 75% water which makes it easy for the muscles to suffer from fatigue if there isn’t enough water present. For someone like me who loves sports in general, staying hydrated before and after any sport action is one of my top priorities. When the body is fully hydrated, it helps you perform even better. Like I said in my previous post, I love running on a treadmill as it is the easiest way to get similar results as running on an open field. Before I step onto the treadmill, I ensure that my body has enough fluid before I even begin the workout and after the workout, water becomes even more precious :).
Sport and Water is truly an undisputed partnership that basically has no end. Keeping and staying fit is one of the advantages of sports. As we all know, regular exercise greatly improves health and physical condition of the body. The more water you drink as a sports person, the more your body performs even better as nutrients circulate better all over the body. While some materials may suggest quantity of water to be taken daily or even before and after exercising, for me, it is all about taking enough to get me to feel fully hydrated and not any set formula. I will round this post up by saying that it is really essential to drink lots of water and keep the body fully hydrated before and after any sports activities… Thanks for reading.
