Do Football Managers Play Football Manager Games?
Hi all, welcome to another post of mine… It has been quite a mix of hectic and fun day but above all, the day was awesome. Yesterday, I talked about the awesomeness of racing games (car racing to be specific). It was quite an interesting topic to write about as I really like the racing genre. Today, I will be deviating a bit from the gaming flow as I just had a thought pop up… Do football managers/coaches play football manager games?... This is really interesting... But before I continue, like I have done recently, let me take a moment to quickly talk about the results of two of my favourite teams that played today in the ongoing euro qualifiers… England and Portugal were involved in their respective fixtures as both won their respective games quite comfortably… really excited for their victories. England beat Kosovo 4-0 and Portugal beat Luxembourg 2-0.
Now that I have gotten that excitement out of the way, let’s get back to the topic for today… Sometimes, I begin to wonder whether football managers do play manager games, especially when I see people play the game and how advanced these games are in terms of realistic simulation. I have played manager games quite a number of times in the past but haven’t played any for a very long time. Back then, I used to really enjoy the feeling of managing a team and watching your ideas and tactics in action when your team wins. It was such an amazing feeling and I know football manager feel the same too, even more because theirs is real and not from simulation.
Based on a few findings, some say that some football managers do play the game from time to time. However, not all managers are into gaming and tech, as they prefer to do what they know how to do best. I do feel that playing football manager games could be a great tool for managers to try things and tactics out, especially when trying out new formations as it could give the manager a broader view of how the formation works before thinking of developing the tactics and ideas even more for real life utilization. Even without the football aspects, these games is a great way for managers to relax and have fun while also keeping the brain active in the football managing ecosystem. Managers could play these games for fun and at the same time learn new stuffs and techniques from the game as these manager games have evolved greatly and have become even more advanced than before making the simulation very realistic and close to accurate… Thanks for reading!.
