Spanish La Liga 2019/20 Season opens with the defending champions Barcelona losing.
The La Liga 2019/20 season started yesterday with a shocker as Barcelona lost it's opening match to Athletic Bilbao. The only goal was scored in the 88th minute by 38 year old Aritz Aduriz who was just having he's first touch on the ball. He scored a brilliant goal, turning with a bicycle kick that you should watch if you missed.
Heavy signings Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong had made debuts in a game that saw Luis Suarez leaving the pitch in the 37th minute due to injury. Messi was also absent due to lack of fitness.
There in no better way to start La Liga especially against the giants and defending Champions Barcelona. To make it more exciting Athletic forward Aduriz is playing he's last season for the club as he announced earlier. This will be a goal to remember in he's career.
Barcelona who had only 2 shots on goal really didn't appear in the match. There is no excuse for it to lose even without the stars Messi and Suarez, they have the depth in the squad.
