Man Utd's struggle to sign £100m+ Sancho in 2020
Though the Red Devils would be able to pay Dortmund's asking price for the England winger, Jadon Sancho, Man Utd would have to qualify for champions league first. If they are not able to qualify, they won't stand a chance of signing Sancho in the next summer transfer window.
The Red Devils secured the services of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire in defence, and also Daniel James who came in from Swansea City and the trio have started off impressively at Old Trafford but Solskjaer has eyes on the striker.
While all three signings have enjoyed impressive starts to their careers at Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on bringing in a striker in the winter transfer window and plans are already underway.
Sancho, perhaps the most impressive English talent around at the moment, has firmly established himself at Borussia Dortmund following his move from Manchester City, with four goals in eight appearances for his club so far this season.
Landing Sancho would require an offer in excess of £100 million ($123m) to meet Dortmund’s asking price, with the Bundesliga title hopefuls financially secure but willing to sell at a reasonable valuation.
The asking fee for Sancho is about $123 million and while that might not be a problem for United, Sancho's advisers are far from convinced that United are a sensible stepping stone in the 19-year-old's career because their standing in world football has been on a downward trend.
That's tough luck! Honestly United is not the best stepping stone for young Sancho for now. They really need to improve.
Thats a very tough condition. Though I don't want to be pessimistic about it, Solskjaer has lots of work to do
