The International 2019 is here, and with it comes the principal conflict of the new-look lists for both Chaos Esports Club and Team Liquid when they meet at 1am CT on Aug. 15.
After more than periods of mind boggling results, including a success at TI7, Liquid discharged Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen from their list in June. Liquid had been hoping to shake things up for some time, obvious by Liquid captain Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi evaluating new blends, diverse legends, and change the group's playstyle.
KuroKy is known as an ace of drafting, however it seemed that a portion of their initial battles this season came down to an absence of feasible choices that they could keep running without being hard countered by other top groups. That didn't prevent the group from progressing nicely, however something probably changed after the group came in just short of the leader at the MDL Disneyland Paris Major.
After ESL One Birmingham, Liquid made their first genuine change since shaping the TI7 squad. In the wake of setting seventh, the players pushed for the arrival of MATUMBAMAN and the marking of Aliwi "w33" Omar.
Matu disclosed to Urheilu that the group's playstyle was "obsolete" and it was simple for groups to counter them, making the once predominant squad vulnerable.
Just by including w33, the group included a player with a huge legend pool and could now support perilous decisions like Windranger and Templar Assassin since they have a specialist close by. Giving KuroKy another arrangement of instruments to use in his draft demonstrated the world a progressively risky variant of an officially incredible group.
In a move that made the entire trade resemble a player swap, Matu joined w33's old group, Chaos. Shaping a perilous team with Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen, Chaos turned into the top choices to take the last EU spot at TI9, which they did.
They were one of six groups to endure the qualifiers, finishing the 18-group program for TI9. When gatherings were uncovered, fans got energized when Chaos and Liquid were both set into Group A. Presently, the two groups are set to conflict on the principal day of TI9.
The gathering stage for The International 2019 starts at 8pm CT on Aug. 14. The main four groups from each gathering will progress in the upper section while the base group on each side will be the principal groups disposed of from the occasion. The staying eight groups will move onto the headliner in the lower section.
