How powerful is Manny Pacquiao's Punch?

In the world of Boxing, some people are only good at trash talking. They boast right before the match even started, while it might be their idea to advertise the fight. But Manny Pacquiao has always been humble against his opponents and shows his professionalism. He just humbles himself before the fight but inside the ring, he shows his sharp fangs.

Combining his speed, momentum, and weight the punch would likely feel like a shotgun. If that's the case, then it would be an instant death taking a punch that strong. Imagine his opponents taking those cumulative punches, how can they even still stand after taking so much of his punches.

11 years ago, the fight against De La Hoya was called "the dream match". De La Hoya knows how dangerous Pacquiao is when he comes inside with his explosive punch. He made sure to tighten his guard but even with his guards up and the advantage of his size.

Despite the odds, Pacquiao did not falter. He barraged De La Hoya with his explosive straight left in the entire match. Thus securing his victory after the coach Beristain(De La Hoya's Coach) threw the towel.

PACQUIAO VS RICKY HATTON

This fight shows another great difference in their size and reach, but then again Pacquiao overcame this difference at ease. With the speed of the "Filipino Champ", he used this as his advantage and pummel Hatton the entire first round. As soon as the second round started, Hatton received a left hook from Pacquiao which made him unconscious. After that devastating punch, the referee quickly ends the match seeing Ricky Hatton lose consciousness.

This match clearly shows what will happen if you take a direct hit in the jaw from one of Pacquiao's punches. Apparently, the match against Pacquiao made Ricky Hatton retire in the world of boxing.

PACQUIAO VS MIGUEL COTTO

This time his opponent(Miguel Cotto) only has one loss in his name before fighting Pacquiao and is confident in his boxing, his opponent is bragging that he can win the match just like the rest of his opponents. But during the 12th round, Pacquiao managed to win via TKO making him the very first to be the seven division champion in the history of boxing.

PACQUIAO VS ANTONIO MARGARITO

Now, his fight against Antonio Margarito has earned him a title of "Octuple Champion" or "8th division champion".

This time his opponent is unlike his other opponents, Margarito is a popular and humble boxer. Although the match has not ended with a knockout, Margarito was hospitalized after the fight. He sustained three cuts in his face after taking Pacquiao's brutal pummeling throughout the entire match. Pacquiao can't stand to keep the fight going so he asked the referee to end the match and won the match via Unanimous Decision.

Throughout his entire career, Manny Pacquiao managed to win against many odds. Almost all of his opponents are bigger than him but he did not ever once complain about any of those.

We can see that his explosive punch together with his speed is a great factor that made him what today. Even those trained boxers don't stand a chance against him, imagine if what would we be like if we take those punches. His punches carry the weights of his fellow Filipinos which may be the reason why the punches that he throws are so powerful. Even at the age of 40, Pacquiao still has the power in his punches.
