Liverpool vs Manchester City ended in a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win in favour of the Citizens. Raheem Sterling scored for City in the first half while Joel Matip equalized 12 minutes from time as both sides played 1-1 after 90 minutes . Georginio Wijnaldum missed his spot-kick as Gabriel Jesus scored the decider to win it for City Liverpool against Manchester City. It ended in a 5-4 shoot-out win after both sides settled for a 1-1 scoreline during regulation time.
