THREE PLAYERS TO BREAK INTO THE SUPER EAGLES SQUAD IN 2020
Genort Rohr has continued to make frantic efforts to rebuild the Super Eagles team after he succeeded in clinching the bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The team has secured victory in the match against the Benin Republic and Lesotho in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. In total, they scored six goals in both games.
In preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers second round to be played on 23 March to 31 March, Genort Rohr says he would invite new players to the team.
When asked about his plans for the club ahead of the 2020 schedule, he said he plans to give opportunities to new players to join the national team. He admitted it is better to try new players they have never seen before.
The three players that have been speculated to join the team are Cyriel Dessers, Ebere Eze, Ovie Ejaria. Cyriel Dessers has said he has always wanted to play for Nigeria, even when the team is filled with talented players. Cyriel plays for Dutch Eredivisie.
Ebere Eze is also a talented midfielder, and he plays for Queens Park Rangers. He has scored seven goals and made four assists this season.
Ovie Ejiara plays for Reading. Although there is a rumour that both Pinnick and Rohr are in disagreement on whether to sign Ejiara, Ejiara may join the team in 2020 nevertheless.
