IWOBI NARRATES HOW ARSENAL ALMOST DISCOURAGED HIM AS A TEENAGER
Alex Iwobi, Super Eagles forward, narrated how he had to put in extra effort to impress the Arsenal football club after he was told he was not good enough.
He spoke with the Eagles YouTube channel and told them that it was an early setback for him, and it was a huge obstacle he had to overcome as a young footballer.
This bad rating did not discourage him nevertheless in his quest to become a football superstar. This bad rating happened when he was 14, and years down the line, he is living his dream of becoming one of the greatest footballers ever.
He said this temporary discouragement did not deter him but motivated him to become a better player. Finally, Alex Iwobi made it through the central team.
He encouraged youths to believe in themselves and continuously convince themselves that they are good enough no matter the obstacles they face.
He also said he got a significant motivation from his uncle Austin Okocha.
