June 1, 20: AutomaticClose, Zombierun, Xbox, Putzing, and Games
Six seems to be the new time to get up, even though I was an hour short again.
Got the morning stuff done and then got my post ready for the day. Although, by that point, it was getting late, I thought I might have enough time left to get the #AutomaticWin. Despite trying hard, I missed it by fifty steps! 😭😡🤬
Warming up a little today, but still had long clothes and a jacket on. I headed out with a hat and scarf, but that was overkill and the hat came off almost right away.
Beautiful, clear day except for the damn spraying.
Today’s zombie mission was super stupid, not even a mission really. The Ministry had a “party” (publicity stunt) in a community of old people. I mostly just stood around for photos and then ran up a tower and placed the last antenna as a “symbol of hope.”
I was jogging most of the time, so I had a fairly fast pace, which meant that when those zombies came they were fricking fast! The first one was immediately 50, then 20 meter warnings and it caught me. Two of three zombies evaded and “mission” complete.
Oddly enough, not too many squirrels about today. This was one of the only ones I saw, and the only one who stayed long enough for me to get a picture. I don’t think this is Mr. Chubbles, though. Maybe a cousin.
In the afternoon I played around on the Xbox downloading a couple of the new free games with gold. I was stoked because they had Kill All Humans (an old-school Xbox original). Got it downloaded and started playing and then realized that it didn’t have any achievements, so was super disappointed. I played some more Wolfenstein instead and completed another rare gun cheevo. 🏆
Couldn’t let the whole day go without accomplishing something, so I finished processing the wire I stripped a couple days ago. I left it sitting in the acid for all that time, so I had to neutralize the acid, rinse rinse rinse, wipe it down, and then run some steel wool on it. Looks good!!!!
Not too much else going on in the evening. We had a nice volume spike in Bitcoin, so I watched the market for while. It’s fun when we get volume surges like that because the order books get cleared out and there’s mad volitility...like hundred dollar swings in a matter of seconds; exciting to watch.
We got a move all the way up to $10.5k. With a monthly close above resistance, it’s looking pretty bullish! Ethereum, of course, on a major run. Glad I bought those at $105. 🤑
The wifey worked late, so I made some leftover pasta for dinner and then fell asleep watching Flash.
Still nothing going with my dCity. Didn’t get robbed, though, and the taxes seem to have lightened up a bit. Going to be some time before I can do anything, though.
I was doing fairly well on Holybread today, but they completely broke it. I’m not sure what they were working on, seems like they moved to a different server, but now I just get a cloudflare error. 😡
So, I have no idea what my rank is now and I have no way to unload the breadcrumbs they’re eliminating. 🤬
Getting a little fed up with this game, to be honest. Was hoping that my time would pay off, but it’s a little shaky at the moment.
My Splinterlands quest for today was three wins without neutral monsters. I think this is probably the fastest quest I’ve completed!
Got the quest done in Diamond III with a potion charge. Haven’t made much forward progress in the last couple days, but at least still staying in Diamond.
My rewards for the day...got a couple rare and a gold foil:
