EPL Round Up: Matchday 1

The English Premier League is on, and Match day one treated us to some great football, from the Opening game between Liverpool and Norwich to the week's last game at Old Trafford.

Liverpool 4 - 1 Norwich

Liverpool began their campaign with a bang, putting four goals pass the Norwich goal, courtesy of a seven minute own goal by Grant Hanley and three goals each from Mohammed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Divock Origi.

West Ham 0 - 5 Man City

The Citizens got their title defence to a scintillating start, as they hit 5 goals past West Ham. Raheem Sterling scored a hat trick, while Gabriel Jesus and Aguero both second a gaol apiece.

Bournemouth 1 - 1 Sheffield Utd

It was a 1 - 1 draw at Bournemouth, as Billy Sharp late equalizer, ensured that Sheffield United have a share of the spoils. It was Sharp's first premier league goal at age 33.

Burnley 3 - 0 Southampton

After a goalless first half, a second half 7 minutes brace by Ashley Barnes and a goal by J Gudmundsson helped Burnley to a comfortable 3-0 win, against Southampton.

Crystal Palace 0 - 0 Everton

Crystal Palace were held to a goalless draw by Everton at Selhurst Park in a game that saw Morgan Schneiderlin being sent off.

Watford 0 - 3 Brighton

Brighton New Coach had an instant impact on his team, as they oversaw a 3-0 victory at Watford. Second half goals from substitutes Florin Andone and Neal Maupay and an own goal by Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Tottenham 3 - 1 Aston Villa

Newly promoted side, Aston Villa goes into a shock lead in the ninth minute when John McGinn put a goal pass Lloris. But late goals from Tanguy and a brace from Harry Kane helped Tottenham avoid an opening day upset.

Leicester 0 - 0 Wolves

It was a cagey match at the King Power Stadium, as Leander Dendoncker's goal was ruled out by VAR. The game ended goalless, as both side failed to break the deadlock.

Newcastle 0 - 1 Arsenal

It was also a winning start for Arsenal, at the St. James Park, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on the scoresheet for the gunners, in a 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Man Utd 4 - 0 Chelsea

A dream start for the red devils, and a nightmare for the blues, as United ran riot, with two goals from Marcus Rashford and a goal each by Martial and new boy Daniel James.
