Mike Arteta set to talk to Arsenal board over Emere’s replacement
Arsenal struggled under their former manager Unai Emere losing several matches this season. Emery got sacked a few days ago, and Freddie Ljungberg was chosen as the interim coach pending when they will get another coach.
Mikel Arteta who was close to getting Arsenal managerial job before Unai Emere displaced him in 2018 is ready to hold talks with Arsenal about replacing Emere. Arteta was a former Arsenal player who played from 2011 to 2016.
He is currently an assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. He is keen to talk to the Arsenal board about a possible replacement to help the struggling Arsenal gain back its feet and lost glory.
Arsenal management has a lot of coaches on their list, but Arteta might get the job if he strikes the right spot. If otherwise, another coach will take over just as Unai Emere displaced him last season. However, Freddie Ljumberg also has a chance to prove himself to be considered for possible replacement after relieving him as the interim coach.
