Bale should leave Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has been clear that Bale is not in his plans, but the former Tottenham Hotspur star has shown no desire to leave Los Blancos.

"If [Bale] stays, Madrid won't have any problems," Mijatovic told the show 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER.

"The one who is going to have problems is Bale.

"He isn't in Zidane's plans."

In recent weeks, there have been reports linking Luka Modric with a move away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but Mijatovic, who is close to the Croatian, has said that he's going nowhere.

"He's very happy at Real Madrid and, as a friend, I can say that he's going to stay," Mijatovic said.

"Luka cannot be put in any deal, he's the [reigning] Ballon d'Or."

Real Madrid have thus far had an underwhelming pre-season, but Zidane's decision to switch to a three-man defence against Red Bull Salzburg offered the side more solidity, having conceded 16 goals in the five games prior.
