Celtics win in Game 7 thriller
If you weren't watching, last night was Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
It featured a strong Washington Wizards team against a surprisingly good Boston Celtics team.
Game 7 would go much better than Game 6, at least in terms of entertainment and watch-ability. Both teams were playing good basketball. Sharing the ball and hitting their shots.
The game went back and forth with neither team able to create much a lead in the first half. The third quarter went much the same way. However, right near the end of the third quarter Boston was able to make a bit of a run sparked by who else, Isaiah Thomas.
Boston would take that cushion into the fourth quarter and never really give it back. Boston hit wide open three pointers via great ball movement and team work, only to be answered by Bradly Beal (game high 38 points) and his own amazing 3 point shooting display.
Things start to slip away
It was unfortunate for Washington that John Wall went cold in the 4th quarter, otherwise the outcome might have been slightly different. He missed shot after shot down the stretch, including his last 11 straight shot attempts.
Boston retained it's cushion and continued to build on it's lead as the 4th quarter wound down, eventually winning the game by double digits.
The final score (115-105) didn't' really do the game justice as it was a great game from start to finish. Washington just couldn't hit their shots and at the end seemed to run out of gas as the Celtics were just a step quicker in just about every facet late in the game.
Boston wins
Next up, Boston plays Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. I don't expect that serious to be much of a serious as I think Cleveland is far and away the better team.
However, Isaiah Thomas has defied the odds in just about every aspect of life, perhaps he can will his team to defy the odds once more and shock the world with a competitive Eastern Conference Finals.
We will just have to wait and see.
I know I will be watching, will you?

Great post! Yea to be honest I don't give Boston much of a shot against the Cavs, but hopefully I'm wrong lol Id love to see it come down to a game 7 as well
I just love good basketball. Give me a good competitive series and I am happy. Preferably one with the least amount of whistles as possible!
100% agree! Not sure we gonna get the less whistles part tho haha
Nope, not likely :)
Boston got great play from the bench, Kelly Olynyk was lights out and that's what gave the Celtics the win. It will be good to see Boston make it a competitive series with the Cavs, would love to see the upset!
Great point. I was thinking about including that in my post but couldn't remember how to spell his name... I guess I could have googled it, but I was on a mission of getting my thoughts on paper (digital paper). He has one pure stroke though doesn't he?!
He really came through, as long as he is wide open he can shoot. He should get open looks in the Cavs series when they double Isiaha Thomas. Knock it down big fella!
Perhaps. Cleveland is a great defensive team, their rotations will be much better than Washington's.
