Arsenal beat Swansea 2-1 to go 4th

Arsenal came from behind at half time to beat Swansea 2-1 in the Premier League yesterday, and Arsene Wenger was quick to claim the Gunners had silenced their critics.
Arsenal dominated possession and squandered a few chances, before fighting back in the 2nd half. Completely against the run of play, the Swans took a shock lead in the 22nd minute.
Sam Clucas put Swansea in front against the run of play
Tammy Abraham picked the ball up from 40 yards and sliced Arsenal’s defence with a delicate through ball. Sam Clucas latched onto it and ran towards goal, and slipped the ball under the advancing Petr Cech from 8 yards out.
Arsenal had dominated the game but again they put themselves under pressure with slack defending and wasteful attacking. It wasn’t until the 41st minute before Arsenal came close to equalizing.
Some good build up play led to Alexis Sanchez getting the ball just outside the area. He ran in taking on a Swansea defender and with space to shoot, unleashed a right curler that was just too comfortable a height to trouble the Swansea keeper. But it was better from Arsenal.
Sead Kolasinac started the comeback for Arsenal
Arsenal levelled through Sead Kolasinac on 51 minutes. Lacazette fumbled and bumbled his way into the box and finally got a backheel to Ozil, who had his effort blocked. The ball fell in the path of Kolasinac , who rifled it into the corner to leave Fabianski with no chance.
Eight minutes later, Aaron Ramsey completed the turnaround. Kolasinac this time playing the supporting role, controlled a lobbed pass, and with one touch, cut the ball back to the waiting Ramsey, who wrong-footed Fabianski to drive the ball into the near post corner. 2-1 Arsenal.
Aaron Ramsey completed the comeback to hand Arsenal all 3 points
Arsenal should have gone 3-1 up when Hector Bellerin grazed the crossbar from an acute angle. It would have been the least Arseanl deserved, but it remained 2-1. Swansea began to apply some pressure in hunt of an equalizer, but the Gunners held on.
It was Arsene Wenger’s 800th Premier League match in charge and his 400th win for the Gunners, and after the match his delight was evident. "I'm very happy with the three points,” he said. “I think overall we had a good domination, maybe in the first half our pace was not quick and sharp enough, but in the second we upped the tempo and created many chances. Again we showed mental strength to come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1. Overall it was vital for us to win the game today."
Arsene Wenger was in charge of his 800th Premier League game for Arsenal
And now Arsenal move up to 4th and after last weeks demolition against Everton, they are now gaining momentum. With Ozil seemingly back in form and Arsenal ticking nicely, it could end up being a good year for Arsenal.
