Statsplit Top 25 College Football Computer Rankings: Week 7
This week was not a good week to be a Top 25 team. Clemson, Washington, Washington State, San Diego State, and Navy all lost their perfect records. This leaves us with a runaway number one team with everyone trying to keep up. Last week it looked like the Big-12 might miss the playoff. Now it looks like the Pac-12 is more likely the odd conference out. With such a chaotic week, there was a lot of movement in the rankings and the games are getting more important when it comes to making the Playoff, a New Year 6 bowl, or just becoming bowl eligible.

Alabama is all alone up top after Clemson loses to Syracuse

Notes:
All remaining undefeated teams are in the Top 10. Alabama is all alone at top with separation from Georgia who jumps Penn State due to their bye week. Wisconsin and TCU round out the Top 5. Clemson drops to 12 after their loss to unranked Syracuse. Stanford is the best 2-loss team just missing the Top 25 being the 26 in terms of points. In terms of G5 schools, we have six teams, with four of them being from the American Conference. The two undefeateds, USF and UCF are 6 and 9 respectively. Conference USA makes their first appearance in these rankings as Marshall is at 23.
