Confederations Cup Team of the Tournament

The tournament ended Sunday after Germany beat Chile 1-0 to claim there first Confederations Cup title. There was a ton of talent showcased during the Cup. Some players stood out the most and deserve recognition for their efforts during the event. Today you will see the best eleven from the Confederations Cup.

Claudio Bravo had a rough season with Manchester City, but managed to make the eleven because of his standout performance it the penalty kick shootout against Portugal. The Chilean international didn't even concede one penalty during the shootout. Bravo also made other saves to help his team. Though he wasn't as consistent as Ter Stegen, he did have a more notable tournament. 

Jonas Hector played lights out in every match at the Confederations Cup. Not only did he play a strong defensive role, Hector was also getting up the field and helping out with the attack. He even managed to obtain two assists in his four games. 

The best center back at the tournament had to be Antonio Ruediger. He was a nightmare for those trying to score against him. Ruediger could out muscle and out pace almost everyone he went against. He also had a very nice passing game to accompany his strong defense.

Another stand out center back would have to be Portugal's Pepe. He loves his country and plays with his heart, Pepe leads the team' defense who only conceded three goals at the tournament, which funny enough were all to Mexico.

Yet another German player makes it on the list. Let's be honest though, they were the best team at the tournament. Joshua Kimmich is an up and coming Bayern Munich star who definitely proved he's got talent at the Considerations Cup. Kimmich played in the right full back position for Germany, and let's just say he didn't disappoint. He great defensive effort and natural passing talent helped boost Germany's defense to another level.

Miguel Layun was fun to watch during the tournament. He lead the Mexican midfield to be quite successful is most matches. Though he din't score a goal or grab an assist, he was overall a great player on the field.

What is there to say about Arturo Vidal. He work ethic on the pitch allowed him to own the midfield in every match. Vidal's aggression and passion help him to be one of the best in the world's game.

Julian Draxler won player of the tournament at this year's Confederations Cup. He captained Germany to their first title and was involved in pretty much every attacking play the Germans put together. 

Cristiano Ronaldo obtained two goals and an assist for Portugal. He was there best player and helped them towards third place this summer. Three man of the match awards ust proves how good he was and how much his team needs him.

Lars Stindl and Timo Werner combined for a total of six goals and two assists. Werner won the Golden boot while Stindl scored the winning goal of the tournament. The two were impressive to say the least.
