Auburn going into Kansas and landing Corcoran would be huge for them when it comes to retooling their O-Line for 2020. They are projecting 4 starters up front this year who are all Juniors, with the other projected starter being a Freshman. They will lose these 4 after next season, leaving a huge void to fill heading into 2020. Currently, they have only 1 senior listed on the O-Line depth chart and a lot of holes. Signing a top-100 lineman to help lessen the blow of losing all of those lineman after next season, would go a long way to avoided a rebuild year in 2020 for the Tigers.
Since Nebraska recruiting has zeroed in on Turner Corcoran, they have been among his favorites. Late in June, the offensive line target made it clear that the Nebraska football team was one of the finalists for his commitment. This is despite the fact that Corcoran has quite a bit of time before he has to pick a team. The Kansas prospect is a member of the 2020 class and a prominent member of that class.
According to 247Sports, Corcoran is listed as the top player in Kansas for the class. He’s also the ninth-ranked offensive lineman in the entire class. At the moment he’s the 94th best player overall.
