Brief Monthly Audit of All 'The World of Sports' Contests | September 16, 2024

It has officially been a month since @httr4life, and I started discussing ideas to fund a sports community here on Steemit. One thing was clear among all of our thoughts: we both liked the idea of a self-supporting contest system that allows everyone, including ourselves, to grow while not costing a ton to run at the same time.

We came up with a series of ideas that include the fast-growing #SteemitDailyJackpot (click that hashtag), which has given away 199.83 STEEM in daily drawings since starting 28 days ago, and the weekly drawing, which has now given away 115 @upvotefund credits. Not to mention @httr4life's STEEMIT NFL PICK'EM Contest, which gave away 75 STEEM last week. That's a total of 389.83 STEEM given away over the last month. @httr4life has also delegated most of his power (2,092.558 STEEM) to the hive account connected to that community to further aid in upvoting future posts.

There are also a couple of other ideas in the infant stage we're trying to get off the ground, including "Break the Piggy Bank" ( #breakthepiggybank), which is still working its bugs out. I also recently held my first official contest in the 'My Mind is on Music' community.

You might ask yourself, what exactly are these two trying to accomplish? It's simple. We want to build communities here where we can share, grow, and maybe even actually enjoy this space we all spend time in. While the more serious aspects of this blockchain separate Steemit from other social media sites, it's also ok to have topics within this space that are fun and enjoyable.
