Bangladesh overtake West Indies to eighth in ICC test rankings
The Windies have lost five focuses and are currently on 67 focuses to wind up in the ninth position while Bangladesh have increased four focuses to reach 75, eight focuses clear of the Windies, the International Cricket Council or ICC said in an announcement on Tuesday.
India have kept up their hold at the highest point of the rankings and just fortified their situation by expanding the hole at the best.
This has seen India's lead over South Africa extend from four to 13 focuses as the Virat Kohli-captained side increased four focuses to achieve a total of 125 while South Africa have lost five focuses to slip to 112 focuses.
Regardless of the drop in focuses, the Proteas are easily in front of the rest of the sides.
Australia are set third with 106 focuses in the wake of increasing four focuses following the refresh, reclaiming the situation from New Zealand, who had overwhelmed them at the last cut-off date of Apr 3.
Australia has wrestled back the no.3 spot from New Zealand.
At that stage, New Zealand had guaranteed themselves of $200,000 by completing third.
In the interim, India and South Africa had packed away a $1 million and $500,000 for their first and second complete at the cut-off date.
Sri Lanka stayed in 6th position in the wake of losing one point while Zimbabwe increased one point to achieve two.
