I think comebacks are the most dignifying and honorable parts of any given sports.
They show us how it is not just a matter of winning or losing but COMPETING. How you cannot give up just because there are some difficulties. Players get paid to defend a jersey, and they must play respect to it. They are professionals, therefore, they must give 100% of their effort, even when they are losing.

A lesson not only for sports but for life.
