Introduction    In this blog I will describe about sports Cricket (The Ashes Series) which firstly hosted by England but many things are re correction and most of the feature developed by Australian cricket board.  England and Australia negotiating with for inventing the The Ashes Series. In 1968 the first Australian team tour to England But the other hand the first tour by an English team to Australia was in (1861-62) organized by the cetering firm of spiers and pond as a private enterprise. . In generally The Ashes series is one of the most famous competition for Australia and England.

Cricket    What is cricket ?? It is a popular International game. The primary difference in types of cricket in the way that overs are regulated. The three basic types as per as professional cricket goes. There are twenty20 ( where 20 overs are bowled per team). One day international ODI ( Where typically 50 overs are bowled per team) As Test(Where over are limited according to daylights play normally 5 days match.    The number of over played understandably controlled the speeds of the match. T20 is very Quick and test lasting for days. When cricket is played informally teams can choose to limit the over as they wish. Such as playing 10 overs 60 balls bowled.  Twenty20 or T20 is the shortest form of professional cricket and last about the length of baseball game. Each team is allowed to 20 overs.   The goal is to score more runs, than the opposing team for the first team at bat the goal is to set a very high score and then bowl the other team out before it can reach. The second team are known as chasing team. The goal is more run then first team.   One day international or ODI is the medium length form of cricket. In the cricket world cup which happens every four years. As the name says. One day international which usually 50 overs for per team.    Test is the original and thus oldest form of cricket and probably the most confusing as its the least like baseball. Out of respect all white clothing for test match Overs in test match cricket aren’t how many can be fit    into a days play. Umpire set a number of overs to be played per day. The goal in test cricket is not simply to score the most in a single innings. As is the case with T20 or ODI.

 Cricket moves out of England

Cricket was introduced to Australia and North America via the English colonies in the 17th century, probably before it had even reached the north of England. In the 18th century it arrived in other parts of the globe. It was introduced to the West indies by colonists and to India by British east India company mariners in the first half of the century. It arrived in Australia almost as soon as began in 1788. New Zealand and South Africa followed in the early years of the 19th century.   Cricket never caught on in Canada, despite efforts by an imperial-minded elite to promote the game as a way of identifying with the British Empire. Canada, unlike Australia and the West Indies, witnessed a continual decline in the popularity of the game during 1860–1960. Linked to upper class British-Canadian elites, the game    never became popular with the general public. In the summer season it had to compete with baseball. During the First World War, Canadian units stationed in Britain played baseball, not cricket.

The Ashes

The Ashes is a test cricket series played between England and Australia. The Ashes are regarded as being held by the team that most recently won the Test series. The term originated in a satirical obituary published in a British newspaper, the sporting times. immediately after Australia's 1882 victory at the Oval, their first Test win on English soil.  The obituary stated that English cricket had died, and "the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia". The mythical ashes immediately became associated with the 1882-83 the series played in Australia, before which the English captain Ivo Bligh had vowed to "regain those ashes". The English media therefore dubbed the tour the quest to regain the Ashes. An Ashes series is traditionally of five Tests, hosted in turn by England and Australia at least once every four years. As of August 2015, England holds the Ashes, having won three of the five Tests in the 2015 Ashes series.. Australia and England have won 32 series each and five series have been drawn.

Origin of the Ashes

The rising standards of Australian cricket was further established during the first representative tour of England in 1878. While the Australians did not play a representative English team on this tour, the efforts of players such as Billy Murdoch, Fred Spofforth and Jack Blackham attracted much public interest. A return visit in 1878-79 is best remembered for a riot and by the time Australia visited England in 1880, playing the first Test in England at The Oval, a system of international tours was well established. A famous victory on the 1882 tour of England resulted in the placement of a statistical obituary in an English newspaper, The Sporting times. The obituary stated that English cricket had died, and the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia. The English media then dubbed the next English tour to Australia (1882–83) as the quest to regain . The first Test matches between England and Australia was played in Melbourne, Australia, in 1877, though the Ashes legend started later, after the ninth Test, played in 1882. On their tour of England hat year the Australians played just one Test, at the Oval in London. It was a low-scoring affair on a difficult wickets. Australia made a mere 63 runs in its first innings, and England, led by A.N. horn by, took a 38-run lead with a total of 101. In their second innings, the Australians, boosted by a spectacular 55 runs off 60 deliveries from Hugh massive, managed 122, which left England only 85 runs to win.        Australia have won more Ashes Tests than England, winning 130 of the 325 matches, compared to England's 106 victories. Australia and England have each won an Ashes series on 32 occasions. There have been five drawn series, and on four of these occasions, Australia have retained the Ashes due to being holders going into the series. England have retained the Ashes after a drawn series once. On only three occasions has a team won all the Tests in an Ashes series; Australia won all five matches in 1920-21, then repeated the feat in 2006-07 and in 2003-04. England's largest winning margin in an Ashes series was in 1978-89, when they won 5-1. Both England and Australia have held the Ashes for eight series in a row.

Conclusion  A team must win a series to gain the right to hold the Ashes. A drawn series results in the previous holders retaining the Ashes. Ashes series have generally been played over five Test matches, although there have been four-match series (1938; 1975) and six-match series (1970–71; 1974–75; 1978–79; 1981; 1985; 1989; 1993 and 1997). 69 series have been played, with Australia winning 32 and England 32. The remaining five series were drawn. As of August 2015, the win–loss ratio in Ashes Tests (from 1882) stands at 130 wins for Australia to 106 wins for England, with 89 draws. In the 132 years since 1883, Australia have held the Ashes for approximately 78.5 years, and England for 53.5 years. Australians have made 264 centuries in Ashes Tests, of which 23 have been scores over 200, while Englishmen have scored 212 centuries, of which 10 have been over 200. Australians have taken 10 Wickets in a match on 41 occasions, Englishmen 38 times.
