Disc golf is a Frisbee/Disc throwing sport where the object is to throw the disc into a target consisting of chains and a basket to catch the disc. Just like golf, you have drivers, fairways, midranges and lastly putters.
The game starts with the tee box where you throw a drive to the basket. Then throw from the spot where you landed up at the basket. Different types of discs will fly differently as you approach the basket your disc selection will vary. Each course will have a certain amount of throws to get in the basket (par3, par4, etc). Courses also have different environments including open areas, wooded areas, elevation change, different terrain, conquering the challenges requires a lot of different shots. Different shots consist of Hyzers, Anhyzers, Straight shots, Backhand, Forehand, Tomahawks, Hammers and trick shots if executed correctly. Hyzers are the natural disc flight which if you're a right-hand backhand the disc will fade to the left as the disc slows down, left-hand backhand will fade to the right. Right-hand forehand will fade to the right as left-hand forehand will fade to the left. Straight shots are useful for tunnels shots, approaches. Learning these different throws and shots can put you closer to the basket!
