Arms Workout - Bodyweight Training 044

in #sports7 years ago

Although I am training 100% bodyweight only, I do occasionally require the use of equipment for certain exercises. About 7 yrs ago I was introduced to the TRX Suspension Trainer. All it is is a couple of adjustable straps that you anchor to a door frame, tree, goal post, pull up bar you get the idea... For exercise, these straps use your bodyweight for resistance and the really cool thing is based on the position of your body you can adjust the amount of resistance, making this perfect for any fitness level! Whenever anyone asks me,
"If I were to buy 1 piece of fitness equipment, what should it be?"
I always recommend a TRX. The number of exercises you can do with the TRX suspension trainer is limited by your imagination and you can pack it in a very small pouch to take with you whenever you travel or choose to take your workout outside.

Today's workout I used the TRX for 3 out of 4 exercises targeting Biceps and Triceps

TRX Row 12-15 reps
TRX Biceps Curl 12-15 reps
TRX Skull Crusher 12-15 reps
Push ups Max reps Toes
Push ups Max reps Knees

Rest 2min
Repeat 4-5 times

Watch the video below to see a demonstration of each

Here's a Picture of the TRX straps I am using. I have it attached to a beast of an anchor, safety first ;)

Looks like a good workout!

Thanks my arms agree :)

Awesome, I did a TRX workout today too :P
Great post

I'm with you on my love of the TRX! It really is such a great tool. It's hard to remember that when I first got certified as a trainer the TRX wasn't out yet, now I can't imagine not using it! Great exercise tips as always. 😀

Especially for a trainer there is even more to love about the trx! No resetting up if the resistance is too heavy or too light, just a quick shuffle of your feet and your back to work :) Happy Friday my Fellow Fit Friend!

🙌🙌 Yes!! Have a fantastic weekend yourself!!

wow.. I would include these into my workouts this looks like a very good workout for arms thanks for sharing .. amazing ;)

Your welcome, glad you enjoyed it!

Solid post! Working out back muscles without equipment has been a challenge. You at least need a bar or table to pull up against. Straps are great tools, especially for fine tuning muscles in your shoulders as you maintain stability.

Your right back can be super tricky to target without any equipment and pull ups are your best bet there. The straps are perfect for hitting your back at many different angles and allow you to do some detail work. Have you worked with a TRX before?

Pretty sure I have. That or something similar. Right now i just use whats available at my local park (hooray sunny San Diego! )

Looks lovely there, we are buried in snow here!

You are amazing, wonderful work done. Your power is also wonderful. Thank you for everything always dear @hangryginger

I LOVE TRX!!! I use it almost daily both in my own workouts and with my clients!! I got certified to teach TRX about 9 years ago and have loved it ever since!! My Favorite exercises to do are suspended legs and abs but it has given me some amazing results with my arms as well!!! Great workout for any fitness level! I recommend it to everyone as well when they are looking for a great workout at home or the gym!! Thanks for sharing!
