Fury vrs Wilder

I am not much of a boxing fan but fortunately I was doing my remote control round of the channels we have and I just happened to land on a sports channel just when the fight started. It really was a great fight by Fury, I mean from the first round I couldn't see this fight ending any other way than a Fury win, and win he did.

Now what has gotten my attention is lots of people claiming that such and such a boxer was better than Fury and could have beat him. I really don't believe any of the fighters whom I have been seeing since the 1970's would have beaten this guy, excepting maybe Foreman in his prime. He is just to big and on top of that he is a very good boxer.

Now let's get some perspective the two guys who fought last night would tower over most boxers, just think about this Wilder is 2.01 Mts, Fury is 2.06 Mts. Foreman is 1.92 Mts. Just think of the advantage in reach, weight probably power behind the punches, and Fury is well ahead in all of these just look at last night Wilder actually looked small besides this guy.

I am not saying that there haven't been better heavyweight boxers than Fury I am just saying I don't think any of the past greats would have beaten him he is just too big. Boxing is not like football where things are so much better today like the pitches, the balls, the shoes even the rules which make it easier for the better players to shine because they don't get kicked that much. Boxing is not like that it remains man against man there is not that much technology can do to improve it, but the size of the fighters today just makes me think they would probably beat anyone who came from the past, of course there are always days when anyone can be beat.

In any case, Fury really did impress me, I think it should be very difficult for anyone to beat him at this moment, and I am talking about today's boxers, I don't see Joshua having much of a chance against him.
