Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ready for 'exciting' final day
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is not surprised that the race for a top-four finish seems likely to go to the final day.
Chelsea could move level with Liverpool on 72 points if they beat Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
It would leave Liverpool needing to better Chelsea's result on the final day to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Liverpool have a home game with Brighton, Chelsea go to Newcastle.
Klopp told the club's website: "It's my life, it's our life, that we always make it a little bit more exciting. We had these situations a few times and it will be, for sure, exciting because Brighton is in a good moment, they played fantastic against [Manchester] United.
"But it's all OK, as long as we have it in our own hands, life is good. We still have to take it then but we will try everything."Before that, Klopp will be hoping for a helping hand from best friend David Wagner who takes his Huddersfield side to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have closed the gap on the top four from 11 points to two in recent weeks after four wins in a row which included a 1-0 victory over Klopp's men.
It was Liverpool's fifth game in 17 days and the German manager is hoping a week's preparation for their game with Brighton can help see them over the line.He added: "I'm really happy that this very intense period is over now because we have one week to prepare for Brighton - that feels like a year and we will use that.
"Hopefully they all came through the game [against Chelsea] then one week is fantastic. If one or two had little problems then one week is short as well but so far I didn't hear anything and I hope it stays like this."
