NBA Players Today Have NOTHING On Craig Hodges!

...at least in All-Star weekend's 3 point shoot out.

The 3 Point Shoot Out has undergone some rule changes in recent years. Today, you get five shots from five racks spaced out around the 3PT line. Each shot counts for one point, aside from the last ball in each rack - the "moneyball" - which is worth two. In addition, players can select one rack to be filled entirely with moneyballs. This allows for a total maximum score of thirty-four: ten from the moneyball rack and six from the other four.

The addition of the moneyball rack went into effect in the 2012-13 season, making it possible for competitors to obtain a score of 34, which no-one has accomplished yet. Although this obfuscates the ability to make comparisons to past performances, in depth metrics aren't required to see that Craig Hodge's NBA record 19 straight shots (for a score of 24) is one of the greatest in NVBA 3pt contest history.
