Welcome to the second part of Jaymesbawned's NFL draft analysis. Part one can be found here.

4. Cleveland Browns, EDGE Bradley Chubb, NC State
This might be a bit of an overkill, but pairing Chubb with last years number one pick Myles Garrett would scare the crap out of opposing offensive coordinators every Sunday. Many fans will be clamoring for Saquon Barkley, but the Browns play it smart and go for the pass rusher.

5. Denver Broncos, G Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame
Denver has been flailing ever since they won their Super Bowl. They finally got a QB in Case Keenum that should keep them respectable, but needed to upgrade their offensive line to keep him upright. Nelson is possibly the best overall player in the draft, which pushes him so high despite his non-marquee position.

6. Indianapolis Colts, RB Saquon Barkley, Penn State
Many believe Barkley is the best player in the draft, and the Colts can get him at 6. If Andrew Luck can ever get healthy, Barkley would be a dynamic complement to a proven elite QB.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, S Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama
Fitzpatrick is a swiss army knife of a DB, and can line up pretty much anywhere on the field. He'll bolster a secondary that was very pedestrian in terms of interceptions last year, and one of the worst in regards to passes defensed.

8. Chicago Bears, CB Denzel Ward, Ohio State
Another defensive backfield that needs an upgrade, Chicago only had 8 interceptions total last year. Ward's tenacious play will boost that number. Some see him as a bit undersized, but he plays bigger than he is.

9. San Francisco 49ers, WR Courtland Sutton
San Fran solved their QB problems last season by snagging Jimmy Garoppolo, but he doesn't have a great set of targets. Pierre Garcon is decent, but not a number 1 receiver. Sutton is big, durable, and not afraid to make tough catches. He's going to make Jimmy's job a lot easier.

10. Oakland Raiders, LB Roquan Smith, Georgia
Pairing Smith with Khalil Mack gives the Raiders the best linebacking core in the league. The versatility of both players gives you unlimited possibilities with matchups and disguised blitzes.

11. Miami Dolphins, QB Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma
I highly doubt there aren't trades to get Baker off the board sooner, but playing the no-trade game, this is where he lands. The Tannehill experiment was a failure, and Miami needs something to give them a shot in the arm and some attitude. Mayfield can do both.

12. Buffalo Bills, WR James Washington, Oklahoma State
If Buffalo misses on one of the top-tier QBs, I don't see them reaching for one here when they also have the #22 pick available as well. Kelvin Benjamin and Jordan Matthews have had success in the past, but neither can be trusted to consistently produce. Washington will be an upgrade and a help to whoever is throwing the ball out in Buffalo.

13. Washington Redskins, S Derwin James, Florida State
Each of the other teams in the NFC East has a big play wide receiver, and James is just the type of player that can move around the field and cover anyone. Extreme versatility for their defensive backfield.

14. Green Bay Packers, EDGE Harold Landry
While I could also see a WR here, Landry is a great value at number 14. Green Bay's defense was middle of the pack in terms of sacks, and awful at forcing fumbles. His speed off the snap and bend will produce some numbers for them in a hurry.

15. Arizona Cardinals, Lamar Jackson, QB Louisville
The ultimate wildcard. Lamar is one of the most athletically gifted players ever seen, but he has progressed nicely as a passer of the last few seasons. He has some footwork issues to get through, but he can be dynamic and make any team exciting to watch. He should be able to sit for a little while if Sam Bradford can keep from being injured.

16. Baltimore Ravens, WR Christian Kirk, Texas A&M
Baltimore hasn't had a decent receiving threat in years for Joe Flacco, and he is needing one more now that his play is declining. Kirk can keep the chains moving enough to keep the Ravens in good field position.

17. LA Chargers, OT Mike McGlinchey, Notre Dame
The Chargers desperately need an upgrade at tackle, and McGlinchey has great technique for a college player. He has experience on both sides of the line, and can at least start on the right side immediately.

18. Seattle Seahawks, CB Josh Jackson, Iowa
After releasing Richard Sherman this offseason, a reload at CB is necessary. Picking up Josh Jackson is a lock here if he's available. His insane playmaking ability mirror that of the departed Sherman.

19. Dallas Cowboys, DT Vita Vea, Washington
Most teams have other needs at other positions, so a higher ranked DT falls down to the Cowboys here. He needs to work on his conditioning, but Vea has a rare size/movement combination that you don't see a lot from a tackle.

20. Detroit Lions, EDGE Marcus Davenport, UTSA
The Lions have a new Defensive-minded coach in Matt Patricia, and need another playmaker to pair with their franchised DE Ziggy Ansah. Huge upside with Davenport, assuming Patricia can coach him up properly.

21. Cincinnati Bengals, LB Trumane Edmunds, VA Tech
Edmunds has great size and sideline-to-sideline range, and can also match up well in coverage on tight ends. Although he didn't rush the passer much, he was successful when asked as well. A great versatile piece to this defense.

22. Buffalo Bills, QB Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State
The Bills can't wait any longer to take their QB, so the next best one available is Rudolph. He's got great size and pocket presence, but his arm won't wow anybody. He can be successful in the right system.

23. LA Rams, LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama
With Ogletree leaving for the Giants, the Rams need some talent at Linebacker. Evans is another in a long line of plug and play backers from Alabama.

24. Carolina Panthers, CB Jaire Alexander, Louisville
With Bashad Breeland failing his physical, the Panthers are still in need of a corner. Jaire is an aggressive, ball-hawking corner that can make plays even though he is undersized.

25. Tennessee Titans, DT Da'Ron Payne, Alabama
Payne is a dominant run defender, and has shown flashes of pass rush from the interior. Not a top need for Tennessee, but a good value pick here for them.

26. Atlanta Falcons, DT Maurice Hurst, Michigan
With Dontari Poe out the door to Carolina, the Falcons need a restock to their D Line. Hurst just got cleared to participate in Michigan's pro day, and if his heart issues are behind him, he can be a great disruptor in the middle. Elite initial jump gets him in the backfield insanely quick.

27. New Orleans Saints, WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama
With Drew Brees locked up, getting him a new target is important. Ridley has great speed and is a pretty polished route runner. He should develop chemistry with Brees very quickly.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers, S Justin Reid, Stanford
Reid can play back in center field, or up on the line with a TE, and even though Polamalu has been out of the game for a while, you know fans would love a repeat of his versatile, aggressive style.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars, LB Leighton Vander Esch, Boise State
Paul Posluszny is retiring, leaving a large gap in the middle of Jax's front seven. Vander Esch is a great side to side linebacker, although he could use a bit more weight on his frame.

30. Minnesota Vikings, OT Connor Williams, Texas
With the Vikings breaking the bank to pick up Kirk Cousins in the offseason, they need to upgrade the players protecting him. Williams has good length and athleticism, and also that little bit of mean streak you like to see in the run game.

31. New England Patriots, CB Isaiah Oliver, Colorado
Malcolm Butler left for Tennessee this offseason, but the Pats can pick up a great replacement for him in Oliver. He has great size and speed, and could be a top corner in a couple years if the Hoodie can coach him up.

32. Philadelphia Eagles, WR DJ Moore, Maryland
With big-bodied Alshon Jeffery on the other side, DJ Moore can take advantage of single coverage to take the top off of the defense with his speed. He also has the ability to line up in the slot and gain some yards after the catch underneath.

There you have it! This class has a lot of good second tier players in it, so a lot of these guys could go anywhere from mid first, to early third round. It is definitely a good draft to have multiple high picks in. Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Have not seen any boards with Chubb going to the Browns at 4. That is a much smarter pick to me than Barkley.

While I am not crazy about Baker Mayfield, as a Fins fan I agree Tannehill needs a little pressure to perform.

I could see the dolphins trading up to get a different QB, but I did no trades on this one. Chubb might be the best player in the draft, and him and Garrett together would be dynamite. Thanks for reading!

Bears need more help than just a defensive backfield. :) They need a whole team makeover. Tough when your team sucks so bad. Life as a Bears fan is like being married to an abusive wife who won’t stop slapping you. :) lol

I could definitely see them trading down if one of the QBs are still available.

Nice mock draft, enjoyed the read. I'm pretty certain that Denver is going to go QB though at # 5. Elway has said that he will strike and miss multiple times this off-season if need be to get the Quarterback position right, and while getting Keenum was a step in the right direction for them, I have a feeling they will nab another QB at #5. Mayfield, or Allen might be available, and if Josh Allen is still there, I would think they would grab him after he played somewhat close by at Wyoming.

Thanks, I appreciate it! QB is definitely possible. They might even trade up to 4 to make sure they they one, honestly.

You're welcome! I could see that happening as well. Should be an interesting draft!
