CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL 2018:LIVERPOOL - REAL MADRID ANALYSIS
The 2018 champions league final between real madrid and liverpool kicksoff today at Kiev's NSC Olimpiyskiy stadium at 7:45pm.
Real madrid have won the competition 12times and will try to claim their third consecutive champions league title. Liverpool won their fifth champions league title in 2005 and would be going for their 6th today at Kiev.
In previous meetings between this two sides,The Merseyside have won three matches and The Los Blancos two in five meetings.
The most recent meeting between this two side were in the group stage in the 2014/2015 season. Real won 1-0 at home and 3-0 away from home.
The merseyside have champions league goalscoring of all time. Having scored 46goals in 14games. A goal higher than Barcelona's 45goals in 16 matches in 199/2000 season and 5goals higher than Real's 41 goals in 13 games in the 2013/2014 season.
Real Madrid had a nice group-stage campaign but their subsceptibility were seen in matches between Bayern munich and Juventus in semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively. Real would be playing their fourth champions league final in the last five years and have won two consecutive finals, 2016 and 2017. Despite not playing at their best in semi-finals and quarter-finals, when it comes to the #UCL final, Zidane's side know how to get the Job done.
The Reds have not left the group-stage of the #UCL in almost a decade until now and their inexperience could be a problem in today's match.
The Red's manager Jurgen Klopp has lost five out of six cup finals as a manager including 2013 #UCL -Borussia Dortmund 1-2 Bayern munich -LOST and 2016 European league - liverpool 1-3 sevilla - LOST.
The Real manager, Zinedine Zidane has already won eight titles since he became Real's manager in January 2016. Just last season, the Frenchman ended with five titles including the #UCL
The Reds have a very porous defensive line as seen in match against sevilla in group-stage that ended 3-3 and semi-final return leg against AS Roma that ended 4-2. The front-line with Mane Salah and Firmino is strong enough to give Madrid a tough time.
Real look like the perfect team with defence, midfield and front-line having Ronaldo, Benzema Asensio .etc.
Will liverpool be able to prevent Real Madrid from claiming their third consecutive #UCL trophy and win it for the first time in 13years?
