Vince McMahon Announces he is going to bring back the XFL

The cfo of the WWE Vince McMahon recently had sold 100 million dollars worth of shares in WWE to invest into bringing back the XFL.  He says it is time to bring football back to the fans.  He is doing this at a time when the ratings are down 9 percent in the NFL.  He is not doing this as a franchise.  It will be a league with 8 teams.

The XFL originally debuted in 2001.  It lasted a total of 1 season.  They are looking to speed up the game and hoping they could play the whole game in a total of 2 hours.  Mr McMahon says he is not sure yet how the games will be televised, but is looking into both streaming and regular television.  He does not want politics involved in the game.

The league will come back in the year 2020.  I myself am pretty interested and think there is nothing wrong with a little bit of competition.  Realistically speaking, I don't see how it can compete with the NFL.  The NFL is such a huge enterprise that it will really have little to no effect o their earnings.  I do believe the xfl may be more high paced but will never be able to compete.  Vince McMahon however is not in the business of losing money, so I am interested in seeing what exactly he has in store.
